Stoupa Pharmacy - Home & Pharmacy
This two-story building in Stoupa, Messinia, which we built in 2010, combines two different functions. On the ground floor there is a pharmacy, accessible from the public road, while on the first floor a house has been built, fully equipped, and modernly designed.
The challenge was for two different uses to coexist and work harmoniously, two different functions, living and working, without disrupting the flow of the whole, without altering the character and viability of each, but also without intervening invasively in the natural landscape. - in the landscape of Messinian Mani, with the special architectural and construction constraints, with the main material being stone.

BOUTIQUE BUILDING STYLE
The same stone of the area has been used on the facades of the building, which exists in many interiors, thus creating a continuum between the exterior and the interior. Some elements are made of cement without color coating, to stand out from the main stone construction.

"When I decided to combine my workplace, the pharmacy, with the holiday home for me and my family in the same building, I knew it would be difficult. The building, in terms of design, functionality and aesthetics, exceeded my expectations. It is harmonious, integrated in the landscape of Mani, special and distinct, a house that surprises those who see it for the first time. For me it is the way I live and work in my summers, combining the seemingly incompatible, in the most harmonious way! "
